创作背景

玛丽亚·凯莉于1994年中期开始携手华特·亚凡瑟夫构思《AllIWantforChristmasIsYou》，在创作过程中，玛丽亚·凯莉为捕获灵感，用饰品装点录音室。果不其然，玛丽亚·凯莉开始精神抖擞，有信心能领悟到圣诞的真谛，传递出真情实感。随后，耗时一刻钟完成了歌曲的结构和主旋律。
